Kelly De Haven - You Are There
Fresh arrangements of some jazz standards plus a few originals set in an acoustic vocal jazz setting.
"Kelly De Haven has developed into a master of her craft, achieving that ever elusive jazz goal - "a style of her own". She's known for hanging out with great musicians (her band always includes the best in the area, and their influence definitely shows). De Haven improvises like a horn player. She loves textures, luxuriating in a dreamy fog or articulating with shivery intensity. Her style is especially effective on love songs - few other singers bring such a yearning to a romantic lyric."

David Cooper - J.S. Bach Cello Suites on Trumpet
Bach's celebrated cello suites performed for the first time here on trumpet by David Cooper."David, I purchased a copy of your Bach Cello Suites for Trumpet via ebay back in August. Before we evacuated our Biloxi home I only grabbed a few things out of my studio: your Bach Transcriptions book and CD, my trusty old Arban's, and three of my five horns. Hurricane Katrina completely destroyed our home and its contents, but I needed to share with you how much I appreciate the book and have enjoyed listening to, and playing your transcriptions. They have brought me a lot of hope and joy (and a bit of productive frustration!) throughout this terrible time. I am very thankful for Bach's original music, and your book which in turn allows me to appreciate and express both joy and sadness via the trumpet. I may never play a note of this music in public, but it has greatly influenced my playing and enriched my practice time."
